Description

Describe a way to make a log read only. This is useful for:

  • A milestone for shutting down a log (for example if it became too big, contains mostly expired certificates).
  • Dis-trusting a log after a breach has been discovered.

This should be a part of the log's metadata: that it's in a read-only mode and what its last STH is.
