This wiki is for the NETCONF WG. We are going to provide here information related to the NETCONF WG.

1 January 2008: WG Adoption of three documents under the new charter. Based on the feedback at the last IETF meeting, the following three submissions have been adopted as work items by the NETCONF WG:


We plan a 2 hours session in IETF 71. The main goal will be to make progress in completing our current work items. Please send any constraints or requests with regard to a session at the IETF 71 to the WG chairs.

IETF 70 (2-7 December 2007, Vancouver, BC, Canada)


NETCONF held the first meeting under its freshly approved new charter on Wednesday 5 December. Draft minutes have been posted based on the audio stream and David Partain's notes (thanks!). The minutes contain pointers to all slides presented at the meeting.

NETCONF-related Sessions

Other sessions with NETCONF-related content included:

  • Sunday afternoon: Tutorial on Using XML in Internet Protocols, by Tim Bray (slides)
  • Monday 0900-1130: APPAREA had a long timeslot for Discussion on XML schemas and modeling, e.g. YANG
  • Monday 1740-1950: OPSAREA Open Meeting has agenda items related to data modeling (MIB2RDML, XML Schema Usage for NETCONF, and YANG).
  • Tuesday 1520-1720 OPSAWG talked about Datatypes for Netconf Data Models and Using Smidump to Convert MIB to XSD
