= Multimob - Multicast Mobility =

The IETF Multimob Working Group aims to provide guidance for supporting multicast in a mobile environment. The current scope is limited to Proxy Mobile IPv6, IGMPv3/MLDv2 protocols and listener mobility. The WG was formed on September 9, 2009. The work on Multimob started in March 2007 in IETF 68 in Prague, Czech Republic.

= Multimob WG at IETF 76 =

Multimob WG met for the first time on November 12, 2009 in Hiroshima, Japan. In this meeting consensus has been established on IGMPv3/MLDv2 Proxy at the Mobile Access Gateway as the approach to provide basic PMIPv6 multicast support solution.

Multimob BoF met on July 28, 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Multimob had a Pre BoF meeting on July 25, 2007 in Chicago, IL, US in IETF 69 and a joint
meeting with Mobopts RG on December 3, 2007 in Vancouver, BC, Canada in IETF 70.
